Arsenal have been linked with Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso a number of times in the past and it seems like they will finally be able to get their hands on him – as per reports.

The player was chased by Arsene Wenger a couple of seasons ago but he ended up joining Bayern Munich in 2017 for a reported fee of €41.5 million. And since then, he’s struggled with a series of injuries forcing him to remain in the medical room more than spending time on the pitch.

This season, the central midfielder has featured in only 13 Bundesliga games for Bayern and as per rumours, the Bavarians have finally decided to offload him in the summer.

Will Corentin Tolisso choose Arsenal?

Right now, apart from Arsenal, clubs like Napoli, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in signing Corentin Tolisso but there’s a possibility he might be on his way to the English Premier League.

As per Fussball Transfers, the 25-year-old is keen to join an English side in case he does decide to leave Bayern Munich which automatically puts Arsenal at the front of the queue.

This is a great boost for Mikel Arteta not only cause Corentin Tolisso is a fine player but also because Bayern currently value him at around €35 million which is in the perfect price bracket for the Gunners.

Arteta is badly looking to add a top-quality player in the middle of the park and if Tolisso was to arrive at the Emirates then he will be the perfect upgrade to someone like Granit Xhaka or Mateo Guendouzi.

Arsenal still have a long way to go before this transfer is wrapped up since big clubs like Juventus and Atletico are currently standing in their way.

Also if the North London side cannot get back into the Champions League, it will become even more difficult for them to convince Corentin Tolisso to join their rebuilding cause.

The 25-year-old has two years left on his current deal at Bayern but right now he is sidelined with an ankle injury and is only expected to make a return towards the end of this month.
