Chelsea show interest in signing this Manchester United superstar: Will the Blues be able to bring him on board?

Chelsea are now seriously considering a move for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, according to journalist David Ornstein.

Ronaldo has reportedly informed Man United that he is not happy with the club’s lack of transfer business which is why he is ready to leave if the right offer comes in from an interested club.

Clubs like Chelsea, Napoli and Bayern Munich have immediately been linked with CR7 and it looks like the Blues are now ready to make a formal move.

He wrote for The Athletic: “Chelsea are considering a move for Cristiano Ronaldo amid the forward informing Manchester United he wants to leave the club this summer if a suitable offer arrives, The Athletic understands.”

Will Chelsea be able to sign Cristiano Ronaldo?

As per the rumours, Chelsea have been in touch with agent Jorge Mendes for some time now but Man United are reluctant to part ways with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo clearly wants to play in the Champions League which is why he wants an exit but we seriously doubt if United will let him leave.

He still has one year left on his current deal and since Erik ten Hag is not looking to sign any new forwards, there’s no way he will allow CR7 to leave, that too to sign for a direct rival. Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland were on Ten Hag’s radar but both of them have joined two of United’s direct rivals and right now, there are no other top-quality strikers available in the market who can fill Ronaldo’s shoes.

Chelsea are said to be monitoring the situation very closely and should United’s stance change, they will make an offer but it’s highly unlikely the Glazers will lose their biggest asset, both on the pitch as well as off it.
