Will this 21 Y/O midfielder resist a transfer despite heavy interest from Man United & Chelsea?

Declan Rice Arsenal

Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United hold a significant interest in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice but according to pundit Rio Ferdinand, the England international will not look to move out any time soon.

“I don’t think he goes this window, I think he stays there for the remainder of the season. I don’t think he’s the kind of kid who is going to push to leave right now,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.

“If it happens, it will be between the clubs. I don’t think he’s going to be the person that instigates it.

“I think he’s quite a laid-back kid in that sense but he’s a driven kid. He’s someone who wants to achieve, better himself and improve.

“Good luck to him. I think it’s inevitable he will go but I think – if I’m being realistic – he will go in the summer and I think it would be to Chelsea if he had his wish.”

Will Declan Rice remain at West Ham United?

West Ham United know for a fact that Declan Rice will be moving out of the club but they will not let this transfer happen during the ongoing transfer window. The Hammers know clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to pay top dollar for Rice but they will hesitate to spend so much money during the middle of the season.

Also, West Ham are performing pretty well under David Moyes this season and the 21-year-old happens to be a big part of the success at the London Stadium.

Declan Rice eventually hopes to snub Manchester United and return to his boyhood club Chelsea(as per the rumours) but he’s professional enough to not create a mess at West Ham United this month.

Plus, the youngster has been with the Hammers for eight years now and he would love to take the club into the Europa League next season – as a potential parting gift.
