West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has been linked with Chelsea over the past year and a half but some recent rumours have been suggesting that Man United could also try and sign him up.
Declan Rice is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after youngsters this season in England and many experts feel it’s only a matter of time before Chelsea get their hands on the Hammers man.
This recent entry of Man United into the mix is sure to cause a lot of panic in the Chelsea think tank but according to the latest report, the England international has his sights set on a move to Stamford Bridge and he’s not considering a transfer to Man United at this moment.
A source close to the player said, as per The Mirror: “Dec has been flattered by interest in him but he doesn’t see himself moving to Manchester. It’s obvious where he’d like his next move to be.”
It’s quite evident that Declan Rice wants to join Chelsea, a club which he left back in 2013 but we don’t think Man United will give up so easily.
Nemanja Matic is in the twilight of his career and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bring in a long-term replacement to the Serbian over the next couple of transfer windows.
West Ham United will not be ready to sell Declan Rice this month so a transfer will only be possible during the summer and we have a feeling that Man United will try and stage a coup.
Rice still has four years left on his current deal with West Ham so the Hammers will have no issues in taking the back seat while Chelsea and Man United fight it out.
