This Man United misfit has multiple suitors for the January window: Which option will he choose?

Camp Nou FC Barcelona

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has become a failed project at the club and it’s almost certain that he will be sold during the January transfer window.

Van de Beek has played in only one Premier League game this season and unfortunately, the situation is not going to get any better as the campaign rolls along. And as things stand, multiple clubs will make a move for him at the start of the new year.

As per journalist Ekrem Konur, Newcastle United are heavily linked with the midfielder and they are preparing a €20 million bid for the Dutch international.

Apart from NUFC, La Liga side Barcelona are also thinking about signing Donny van de Beek but they are only making arrangements for a loan deal.

Donny van de Beek exit: To Newcastle Utd or FC Barcelona?

Donny van de Beek is the kind of player whose playing style can perfectly match Barcelona’s but we doubt if Manchester United will be happy with a loan deal.

Barca are in a financial crunch so there’s every chance they might not convert this loan deal into a permanent one at the end of the current season. And this could be the main reason why Man United will be reluctant to send Van de Beek to Camp Nou.

Newcastle United, on the other hand, will have no problems in paying the big bucks for the midfielder(even during the middle of the season) but we will have to wait and see if Ole is ready to send such a talented player to a rival Premier League club.

At this point in time, Donny van de Beek will join any club that can offer him regular playing time and as things stand, Newcastle United are the one who fit this brief perfectly. He will be a cut above the rest of the current NUFC players meaning he can easily become the marquee midfielder at St James’ Park for the second half of the campaign.

Will Donny van de Beek get a second chance at Man United?

There are a few months left for the January transfer window to open and so there’s an outside chance that he can still redeem his career at Old Trafford.

But the way Ole is treating him, Van de Beek is the last midfielder in the pecking order right now.

Despite all the crisis, the Man United manager has still not used the midfielder(not even as a sub) so the only way for the Dutch international to resurrect his professional career is to move out in January and start playing for a new club.

And even Manchester United will want to get rid of him asap and use the money from his sale to bring in reinforcements.
