Chelsea take on Fulham on Friday night and all eyes will be on whether Enzo Fernandez and Mudryk are named in the starting line up or not.

Mudryk has already played 35-odd minutes against Liverpool but Enzo was a deadline-day signing so this one is going to be his first match in England.

Mateo Kovacic suffered a calf problem towards the end of the Crystal Palace game and now, Graham Potter has claimed in his press conference that the midfielder is not going to be available on Friday night.

This is a bit of an issue for the Chelsea boss because Jorginho’s joined Arsenal which means Potter has no other option but to throw Enzo Fernandez straight into the starting line up against Fulham.

Fernandez has played 17 games for Benfica this season meaning match fitness should not be a problem for the midfielder. All he has to do is to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League.

Raheem Sterling has made a full recovery and will be available for selection but Graham Potter has made it clear that he along with a few other returnees are not ready to play the full 90 minutes.

The manager has said: ‘We’ve got Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Raheem Sterling and Ruben Loftus-Cheek back in the squad. They’re not ready for 90 minutes but certainly in the squad.’

This means Mykhaylo Mudryk is also going to get his first start for Chelsea down that left flank.

Mudryk grabbed a lot of attention with his cameo vs Liverpool now we have to wait and see how Enzo Fernandez does in the job of the lone deep-lying midfielder.
