Celtic FC are looking for a new manager as they make preparation to take on the Rangers FC juggernaut next season and according to Paul Robinson, the Bhoys should make a move for Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard.

“They need a big-name manager to come in,” he told Football Insider.

“You need someone who is highly-respected in the game, whether it be someone experienced or a big name ex-player who is cutting his teeth in the game.

“For me, Frank Lampard would be the perfect choice. He could give the club a boost and he could attract players to the club.

“They need a manager like that because they need to be savvy in the transfer market and change the squad that they got.”

Will Celtic FC make a move for Frank Lampard?

Frank Lampard was recently sacked by Chelsea and the manager is still without a club. And, for almost all the Celtic fans, the England international would be a dream appointment.

Lampard will be itching to prove himself after failing to click at Chelsea and a potential Celtic revival might just be the challenge he needs right now.

Steven Gerrard risked coming to Scotland a few years ago and now he has permanently etched himself in the Rangers folklore and this could very much entice Frank Lampard to make the move across the border.

We don’t think Celtic FC are genuinely considering making a move for Frank Lampard any time soon but the former Chelsea midfielder could well and truly be a sensible choice for the Bhoys.

Also, as per the latest reports, Martin O’Neill will be consulted by Celtic FC as the club hunts for their next boss and it will not be a surprise if the former PL manager suggests the name of Frank.
