Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is a product of the West Ham academy and this will be the first time that the former England international will be managing a rival side infront of the East London crowd.

Frank Lampard started his footballing career with the Hammers before joining Stamford Bridge and every time he’s come back to West Ham, the fans have been hostile towards the Blues legend.

And many people believe that things won’t be too different this time and if the manager is booed and jeered at then it could actually put him off forcing Chelsea to lose focus.

But speaking to the press, Lampard has made it clear that he knows what to expect from a London Derby so he will be mentally prepared when Pellegrini brings his team to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

“I’ll just do my job. Fans will be fans,” the Chelsea manager said.

“We know where everyone’s loyalty lies. We know how passionate fans are in England for their clubs and it’s a London derby so I expect it to be passionate on both sides and I’ll just do my job.

“It’s just a game for me and for us to try and win against a very difficult opponent – a London derby, which adds spice to it and which the players have to be aware of, because that can change the temperature of the game.

“I’m not concerned about the emotions of it from my point of view. I came through there in the academy a long, long time ago and been at Chelsea a long time as a player and now managing, so my focus is completely on us.”

Chelsea have been on a roll this season under Frank Lampard and its the exact opposite for West Ham United right now.

The Hammers have been dropping unnecessary points in the Premier League which has really put Manuel Pellegrini’s job in danger so many people feel that the home side could throw the kitchen sink at Chelsea and this, in turn, can catch Frank Lampard by surprise.
