Gabriel Jesus Arsenal
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus playing for Brazil

According to a report by Defensa Central, Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in signing Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.

Gabriel Jesus moved to Arsenal from Manchester City last summer and he’s done superbly well for the Gunners. Despite picking up a significant injury, he’s scored five and assisted six goals in 16 Premier League games so far this season.

The Brazilian international looks to be very happy with his life in North London but Madrid are keeping tabs on his situation at the club and are likely to make a move for the 25-year-old in the summer.

Will Real Madrid be able to land Gabriel Jesus?

Gabriel Jesus is a seasoned pro in the English Premier League and when fully fit, he’s one of the best centre-forwards in England.

The Gunners are the favourites to become the English champions this season but the lure of playing for Real Madrid is something else. If Arsenal are crowned the English champions then it will be very hard to lure him out of the club but if someone can do it then it’s the Los Blancos.

With Arsenal, he will be playing in the Champions League next season but at the Bernabeu, he will have a genuine shot at winning this trophy.

Karim Benzema is running on fumes and at 35 years old he probably has one or maybe two more seasons left in him. Sooner or later, Florentino Perez will be out in the market looking for a long-term replacement so it’s very much possible that he will try and sign Gabriel Jesus in the summer.

The Arsenal forward has four years left on his contract with Arsenal and his current market value stands at €75 million which means Madrid will have to shell out a fortune to be able to land him.

There’s no way Arsenal will want to cash in on the striker but they will be helpless if Gabriel Jesus is tempted by a Los Blancos offer and hands in a transfer request.
