Gareth Bale Real Madrid FIFA 20
Gareth Bale Real Madrid

Gareth Bale has seen a major dip in fortunes since joining Real Madrid but still, Arsenal are willing to sign him during the January window, as per El Nacional.

Yes, as crazy as it may sound but the Gunners are preparing a €5 million bid to sign the winger at the start of the new year despite the fact that he was once a Tottenham heartthrob.

Mikel Arteta has managed to steady the ship in the previous few weeks and Arsenal have been able to climb to the fifth spot on the Premier League table. But for them to keep continuing this form the manager will need to bring in reinforcements in January.

And the forward line is one of the areas which needs a bit of patchwork which is why the Gunners are probably looking at Gareth Bale.

Will Real Madrid agree to sell him for €5 million?

Bale has only a few months left on his current deal at the club which is why he is planning to move out as a free agent next summer.

Naturally, Real Madrid are not going to get a penny out of his exit and this is one of the big reasons why the Spanish side could agree to sell him to Arsenal for just €5 million in January.

He’s worthless to the Real Madrid boss right now so any money that comes out of his sale will be a profit for the club.

Is Bale needed at Arsenal?

Nicolas Pepe has turned out to be a major flop at Arsenal since his big-money move and this season it’s young Bukayo Saka who’s been playing on the right-wing.

This means Gareth Bale could come in and have a genuine shot at playing regular first-team football at the Emirates.

Having said that though, the player’s current season has been riddled with injuries and so far, he’s played in only three league matches for Madrid.

A player of Bale’s stature will be welcome at Arsenal any time but he’s well past his prime so we think it will be a major gamble to sign him for cheap and then end up paying him some crazy wages.

Will Gareth Bale agree to join Arsenal?

Gareth Bale had been with Spurs since 2007 before joining Real Madrid in 2013. And even last season he had opted to spend one full season on loan with the Lilywhites when things were not working out for him in Spain.

And this is the main reason why we think the 32-year-old will not agree to join Arsenal during the January transfer window.

The winger would much rather wait for six more months and move out of Real Madrid as a free agent and join an MLS club to spend the rest of his playing career in peace.
