Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has no shortage of takers with teams like Newcastle United and Everton interested in signing him.
Newcastle United have dropped their interest in Everton winger Anthony Gordon and as per the rumours, the Magpies have shifted their undivided focus to the Chelsea man. Eddie Howe’s team are not willing to pay the £60m price tag Everton have put on the 21-year-old’s shoulders.
Everton are also said to be considering a move for Hakim Ziyech because they fear that Gordon could eventually leave the club. However, the Toffees are in a mess right now so there’s very little chance that Ziyech will want to join them.
This season, the Morocco international is yet to score a single goal in the Premier League and he’s provided only one assist. In fact, his time at Chelsea has been overly disappointing because, in 98 appearances for the Blues, he’s netted only 14 times.
Potter is not very keen to hold onto the winger and he’s even ready to send him out on loan this month. Newcastle would love to sign a player of his calibre but according to Evening Standard, the Blues want to send him out of the Premier League.
Chelsea do not want to loan him out to a direct rival for the remainder of the season and this will make it really hard for NUFC to bring him on board.
AS Roma are said to be interested in signing the former Ajax winger and Graham Potter would much rather see him move to the Serie A than join a team who are in the top four of the EPL.
Chelsea are looking to add two more players before the January window shuts down but for that to happen they will have to offload some players from their current roster.
There’s still a chance that Hakim Ziyech could remain at the Bridge until the end of the season but at the rate, Todd Boehly is making new signings, no current player is safe from falling down the pecking order.
