Harry Kane has been linked with an exit from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer but as per the latest reports, he could sign a new deal with the Lilywhites.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been heavily linked with the 29-year-old centre-forward and since Spurs are about to have another trophyless season, everyone was certain that Harry Kane will push for a move in the summer.

However, it looks like the England international has no intentions of leaving and is willing to commit his future to his boyhood club.

Kane has scored 15 goals in 20 Premier League goals this season and he’s still one of the top strikers in European football. Most pundits and journalists have been claiming that he will look for a new challenge in the summer because he wants to win trophies.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been keeping tabs on this whole situation and as per some gossip, Kane’s representatives have already held discussions with the interested clubs.

Up until now, it looked almost certain that the forward will be heading for greener pastures but on Monday, fresh reports in the English media suggested that Kane’s agent has not talked to any of the suitors because the striker is ready to sign a new deal with Spurs.

Former Bayern president Uli Hoeness has claimed that the Bavarians don’t have the finances to pull this deal through but if Harry Kane is indeed signing a new deal then it will be a big setback for Manchester United.

“He’s a great player, but that’s an order of magnitude. Manchester City got out at €140m, €150m. I can’t imagine that these are amounts that Bayern Munich wants or can pay,” he said.

Erik ten Hag is said to be very keen to work with Kane but it looks like his dream might not come true. He’s got Weghorst as a temporary solution but Man United need a world-class centre-forward before the 2023-24 season begins.

There’s still a long way to go before the season ends so obviously a lot can change but we have a feeling that Harry Kane signing a new contract will depend on two major factors.

Firstly, if Spurs cannot finish in the top four then it will be very hard for Daniel Levy to convince him to stay back. We don’t see why the England forward would be eager to play in the Conference League once again.

Also, Conte’s future at the club will have a big say because if the Italian manager was to leave in the summer then Harry Kane could very well pack his bags and head for the exit doors himself.

Man United or Bayern Munich will not give up hope so easily because Spurs’ internal matters can still reshape a lot of future outcomes.
