Ligue 1 giants PSG have made a bid for Arsenal’s 25-year-old right-back Hector Bellerin, according to The Guardian.
The report claims: “Paris Saint-Germain have made a bid of £25m plus £5m in add-ons for the Arsenal right-back Héctor Bellerín.
“It adds up to a teaser for the Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, who has spent £41m in fees already this summer on Pablo Mari from Flamengo and Lille’s Gabriel Magalhães.
“He has also signed the free agents Cedric Soares and Willian and, with book-balancing a pre-requisite in straitened times for the club, it is expected he will have to sell somebody at some point.
“Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for a host of players although Bellerín, ideally, is one Arteta would want to keep.
“It remains to be seen whether the club can generate the funds they need from the sale of players that are further down the pecking order.”
Is Hector Bellerin on his way to PSG?
The Guardian claim that Mikel Arteta is not keen to part ways Hector Bellerin but they do need money to bring in more signings which is why PSG’s offer will surely be alluring.
Apart from PSG, Bayern Munich have also been linked with the Spaniard which could help Arsenal jack up their demands for the right-back.
We are not yet sure if Arteta will be eager to sell off Hector Bellerin this ongoing transfer window but if Maitland-Niles is not going to join Wolves anytime soon then there’s no harm in letting Bellerin head to the French league.
The Arsenal boss also has Cedric Soares for back-up and he can surely use the transfer fee from Bellerin’s sale in order to bring in someone like Thomas Partey.
Hector Bellerin has been with the Premier League side for nine years but during the 2019-20 season, he managed to play in only 15 league matches due to a series of injury troubles.
