Spurs take on Wolves in gameweek three of the Premier League and there’s a chance Ivan Perisic could get a start in this match.

Perisic was signed during the summer but he’s yet to get a start under Antonio Conte. In both of Spurs’ matches so far, the winger came off the bench during the second half.

In his first match, he had a pretty average 24 minutes on the pitch however, against Chelsea, he made a really positive impact, providing a 96th-minute assist for Harry Kane – a goal which helped level things up.

He played only 17 minutes in that match but still managed a 75% passing accuracy and he also created two chances.

Will Ivan Perisic start for Spurs this weekend?

For the first two games, it’s been Ryan Sessegnon who has been playing as the left wing-back but on Saturday we could see Ivan Perisic in that role, due to two main reasons.

Firstly, Sessegnon did not have the best of games against Chelsea and since Conte has someone as talented as Perisic at his disposal, there’s no need for the manager to stick with the 22-year-old.

Secondly, Wolves are not the toughest of opponents and given their recent form, Spurs are the clear favourites to win this game so this is the ideal chance for the manager to rest some of his players.

There’s a possibility that players like Richarlison and Yves Bissouma could come into the starting line up along with Ivan Perisic who should be replacing Sessegnon on the left-hand side.

Perisic is currently 33 years old so Antonio Conte cannot use him every week and matches like this is the ideal way to give the Croatian international game time while resting his regular starters.
