Liverpool's Jordan Henderson playing for England

Jordan Henderson and Andy Robertson could both be fit enough to start for Liverpool when they take on Atletico Madrid – the manager has confirmed.

The Reds welcome the Spanish giants and it seems like Jurgen Klopp will have more or less a fit squad to choose his starting line-up from.

While Jordan Henderson has been missing from action for the past couple of weeks but the Liverpool fans got a bit of a scare after Andy Robertson missed the Bournemouth game on Saturday.

But the manager has now admitted that Robertson is not much of a concern and he should be fully fit for the Wednesday night game and apart from that Jordan Henderson also has a chance of featuring vs Atletico Madrid.

The manager told his post-match press conference: “What I hear, it should be possible [for them to be available for Atletico]. If we then do it, I don’t know.

“Robbo should not be a problem; he only missed today pretty much.

“He finished the session yesterday and afterwards felt something, but it was then nothing in the end.

“Hendo was out, I don’t know exactly in this moment, but I think he will train tomorrow. If that looks good, I have to make a decision.

“For sure [it will be good to have him back] and some others as well.”

Will Jordan Henderson start vs Atletico Madrid?

So surely Andy Robertson is not much of a concern for the Champions League clash but if Klopp can get back Jordan Henderson then it will surely be a boost for the Reds manager.

Henderson has been badly missed during the past couple of weeks but it still seems like the midfielder might not be fully fit to play.

The manager has said that the player will return back to training this weekend meaning he will face a race against time. And even if the doctors clear the player to play against Atletico Madrid, at best, the manager might name him on the bench.
