Jorginho has suddenly become the centre of attention for Chelsea FC and as per his agent Joao Santos, Italian giants Juventus are interested in signing him.

The midfielder had a great year with both club and country, first winning the Champions League and then lifting the European Championship with Italy. So naturally, the 29-year-old has come under the limelight with his representative confirming that big European clubs are now making inquiries about him.

Santos told Calciomercato, as per The Sun: “I confirm it, these interests have arrived.

“Of course, at 29 he can do very well in all the top European clubs and many are interested in him.”

When Jorginho first arrived in the Premier League, he was really average but over the years, his importance at Chelsea has grown steadily and after his performances during the 2020-21 season, there’s no way Thomas Tuchel will let him leave.

His agent added: “He has a two-year contract, and it’s all in the hands of the club. There is the World Club Championship, there is the European Super Cup.

“For a footballer these are important goals. But, the transfer market is always the transfer market and if a major club comes forward seriously with Chelsea then we will evaluate.

“At the moment, Jorginho will play it at Chelsea next season.”

Jorginho’s current deal with Chelsea expires in 2023 but there’s no doubt the club are going to offer him a new deal pretty soon.

Generally, Chelsea do not offer long-term contracts to players who are above 30 but since he’s still 29, Jorginho is likely to get a new deal.

It also remains to be seen if the player is interested in staying at Chelsea since his style of game play is much more suited in the Serie A.

As things stand, the ex-Napoli midfielder is going to stay in London next season but Thomas Tuchel will need to make a decision regarding Jorginho’s long-term future sometime this year.
