Premier League side Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham but giants like Real Madrid and Manchester City are also amidst the mix.

Liverpool have been struggling to keep pace with the likes of Man United, Arsenal and Man City this season and one of their biggest issues has been their midfield. Klopp is reportedly really eager to sign a new world-class midfielder and Bellingham is currently his top priority.

The youngster has shone for club and country in recent seasons and there’s a big buzz that he will be heading for greener pastures in the summer. Despite being a defensive midfielder, he’s scored four and assisted three goals in 16 league games for BVB and if he keeps on going at this rate then a summer exit is inevitable.

Sky Germany are claiming that despite Madrid and Manchester City keeping tabs on this situation but it’s Liverpool who are actually the current frontrunners in signing the 19-year-old.

This will be great news for Liverpool fans but there are rumours that Madrid are open to offering Camavinga in a player-plus-cash deal for Jude Bellingham.

Camavinga has not been able to break into the first XI under Carlo Ancelotti and even though the Madrid manager has claimed that he will not let the midfielder leave but the gossip columns are suggesting otherwise.

If this bit of news is true then it’s a big setback for Liverpool and Manchester City because BVB will any day agree to bring in a player like Eduardo Camavinga.

Manchester City have Rodri and Kalvin Phillips amidst their ranks so they won’t be too tensed if they were to miss out on Jude Bellingham but Liverpool are in dire need of a world-class defensive midfielder.

The Anfield outfit are not the kind of club that spend crazy amounts of money in the market and if Real Madrid do offer a handsome transfer fee plus Camavinga in exchange for Bellingham then Liverpool won’t be able to put up a fight.

The midfielder’s current market value is €110 million and his contract with Dortmund expires in 2025 but we highly doubt if Liverpool will be ready to spend so much money on a single player.
