Premier League side Leeds United were planning to make a move for Ryan Kent in the summer but the Rangers FC winger is expected to remain in Scotland, as per Football Insider.

The report claims: “Ryan Kent is set to snub interest from Leeds United and remain at Rangers next season, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

“The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with the Premier League club ahead of the summer after their confirmed bid for him last year.

“A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Leeds are still keen on Kent but have been told he wants to stay at Rangers for at least another year.”

Ryan Kent has been given a new lease of life by Steven Gerrard after he failed to break into the Liverpool side over the years. So it’s no surprise he is repaying that faith by snubbing a move to Leeds United in the summer.

Kent has been in more than decent form for the Scottish side this season, scoring eight and assisting nine goals in 33 SPFL games this season for the Gers.

And with two more years left on his current deal, Gerrard does not have too much to worry about right now.

As far as Leeds United are concerned they surely will try hard to convince Ryan Kent to snub a stay at Rangers by giving him an opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League.

Also, Rangers FC depend a lot on player transfers to fulfil their financial requirements so if Leeds United can offer a lucrative transfer fee, there’s every chance the Scottish side will crack under pressure.
