Joshua Kimmich wanted by Liverpool Anfield

Liverpool are ready to part ways with Neco Williams and according to Sky Sports(h/t Caught Offside) Southampton and Fulham are interested in signing him.

The 21-year-old has come up through the ranks at Liverpool and last season he was sent out on loan to Fulham during the January transfer window.

He managed to play in only 15 games for the Craven Cottage side however Fulham are still keen to take him back while Southampton are the latest club to make enquiries regarding the right-back.

Liverpool have no use of Neco Williams but we don’t think this transfer is going to be straightforward because as per the rumours the Anfield outfit are not ready to send him out on a loan, instead they want to sell him off permanently and are looking for a fee of around £15-20 million.

Should Liverpool be selling Neco Williams?

Liverpool have just wrapped up the signing of 18-year-old right-back Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen and the youngster is likely to be the backup to Trent next season.

The Anfield outfit paid £6.5 million for his services and Klopp has very high hopes from the youngster so there’s no need to hold onto Neco Williams.

The 21-year-old’s contract with the club expires in the summer of 2025 so Liverpool are asking for a pretty fair price but we doubt if both the interested clubs will be eager to sign him permanently.

Is Neco Williams heading to Southampton or Fulham?

Williams spent five odd months with Fulham so he knows the club very well but the club are only looking for a loan arrangement right now. Marco Silva obviously wants him back but for that to happen, the manager will have to convince his board to spend such a steep figure on a young right-back.

Southampton, on the other hand, won’t mind paying £15-20 million for the right-back and given that Hassenhuttl and Klopp share a very good relationship, the Saints can very well be the favourites to sign Neco Williams.

The youngster will obviously have a say in regards to his future but Liverpool are adamant about a permanent sale and whichever club agrees to that will most likely get their hands on the full-back.
