Premier League side Arsenal might be looking to bring in Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic on a loan deal for the 2020/21 season, as per Sports Witness.

The report claims: “Arsenal and AC Milan are ‘interested’ in Real Madrid’s Luka Jović, according to Sport.

“Over the past three months, Los Blancos have faced issues with the striker off the pitch. Jović returned to Madrid on May 8th and it was then found out the player had suffered a fracture to his right foot. This apparently happened after a ‘wall fell on his foot’ in Belgrade and his injury will rule him out for the rest of the league fixtures.

“According to the report, Real Madrid’s patience is wearing thin following the latest incident and they are thinking of ‘giving him up’.

“Jović posted a picture on social networking site of himself enjoying a barbecue with his compatriots, Nemanja Maksimović (from Getafe) and Ivan Šaponjić (from Atlético Madrid).

“It’s claimed that Zinedine Zidane’s side plan to send Jović out on loan due to his ‘lack of adaptation’. That’s when Arsenal get a mention.”

Will Luka Jovic be a perfect fit at Arsenal?

Real Madrid spent a lot of money to sign Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer but the centre-forward has been really mediocre so far this season.

The 22-year-old has played in 15 La Liga matches up until now but has managed to net just two goals in the process which is a stark divergence from his stats of the previous season.

Initially, Zinedine Zidane was willing to give the player one more chance but his antics off the pitch might have forced the Madrid manager to change his mind which, in turn, is great news for Arsenal.

The Gunners could lose Aubameyang this summer and Luka Jovic will be the perfect alternative to the Gabon international. And given that he’s available for on a loan deal, Arsenal will not be financially burdened as well.

But if the Gunners are interested in signing the Serbian international they will have to fend off interest from AC Milan who are also being linked with the forward.

Some rumours have also linked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a move to Real Madrid and maybe, just maybe, Mikel Arteta might try and arrange a swap deal between his forward and Luka Jovic.

Signing Jovic will obviously be a gamble since the 22-year-old has been in really poor form this season. But working on a shoe-string budget, these are the kind of risks Mikel Arteta will have to take on.
