Man United managed to stage a superb comeback against Spurs last weekend in the Premier League, thereby almost securing a top-four finish this season. And then they capped off that win with a comfortable victory over Granada in the Europa League on Thursday.

Manchester United can breathe a lot easy after the Spurs win but they will need to keep winning games to ensure they do not slip down from their second spot on the table. Next up, they face Burnley at home and a win in this game will help Solskjaer’s side move within eight points of league leaders Manchester City.

While Man United will go into this home game as the favourites but some people feel Burnley might be able to take something away from this game thanks to their fine record at Old Trafford in recent years.

Michael Owen though thinks Man United will be able to see this one through primarily since Burnley have been really lacklustre in attacking situations.

He wrote for BetVictor: “Despite going a goal down, Manchester United produced another memorable victory on the road last weekend, defeating Spurs 2-0.

“It was a typical United performance, and although I still think there is room for improvement at Old Trafford, the visit of Burnley should present itself as another opportunity to gain maximum points.

“The Clarets simply aren’t scoring enough goals and if it wasn’t for the poor form of those in and around them, their concerns of falling out the Premier League would be a real possibility.

“As I mentioned, United have been much better on the road, but on this occasion, I think they’ll come away with all three points.”

Burnley have not lost their previous four matches at Old Trafford, managing to score twice on each of their last three visits. So naturally, Sean Dyche’s men will have their tales up going into Sunday’s game.

But, at the same time, the Clarets have been in real dismal form this season, losing their previous two matches in the league. And so far, they have managed to score just 25 goals in their 31 matches.

No doubt the away side will look to make life difficult for Man United, especially with how Dyche sets up his side but the reality is that Man United have enough talent in their squad to see this one through.
