Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has fallen down the pecking order at the club since the resumption of the Premier League and according to Kevin Campbell, the youngster will be sold in the summer.

A lot of character and determination will be required to win back the trust of his manager in the course of the next few months and Campbell believes Guendouzi does not have the fortitude in him to grind it out at the Emirates.

The former Gunners striker told Genting Bet, as reported by Goal: “I think that Guendouzi will leave the club this summer.

“Arteta has come in and he’s set a lot of disciplinary rules down.

“Guendouzi has fallen foul of those rules. I don’t think he’s the type of player who is going to knuckle down and that’s why he’s training alone.

“The writing is on the wall on this one, and I can’t see him coming back into the fold unless he changes his attitude.”

Will Matteo Guendouzi leave Arsenal in the summer?

Matteo Guendouzi was supposed to be the next big thing at Arsenal when he joined the club in 2018 but clearly things have not worked out for the midfielder.

Under Mikel Arteta, the Frenchman has been constantly on the decline during the past couple of months and his recent tantrums have clearly forced the manager to make the ultimate decision.

With Dani Ceballos playing pretty well in the past couple of weeks, the manager can now show Matteo Guendouzi the door and use that money to try and bring in a like-for-like replacement before the next season begins.

The Frenchman is just 21-years-old so a number of big clubs will be willing to bring him on board during the summer and with two years still left on his contract, Arsenal will be able to get a decent value for him in the market.
