Arsenal are now looking to challenge Chelsea and Liverpool in the signing of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, as per the Evening Standard.

The 21-year-old has just picked new agents which is a clear hint that he wishes to make an exit at the end of the 22/23 season. And right now, he has no shortage of takers.

His current contract with the Seagulls expires in 2025 and Brighton have set a price tag of around £100 million on his shoulders. We still don’t know if all three teams are willing to pay such a steep price or not but one thing’s for sure, Moises Caicedo is going to play for a new club next season.

Moises Caicedo has been a long-term target for Chelsea and they have even seen a bid rejected for him. However, the Blues are not giving up hope as they will try once again, possibly during the summer window.

Liverpool are also in need of a new central midfielder but according to the latest reports, Klopp is more interested in signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and Caicedo is currently a backup option for the Reds.

However, this entry of Arsenal is surely going to make things interesting because the Gunners are currently the top team in the Premier League and if they can manage to lift the title then they will be the favourites to sign the Brighton man.

If Chelsea cannot get into the Champions League next season then they will find it really hard to attract their priority targets however the good thing for them is that Todd Bohely is not shy about spending money.

The Blues have already priced out Arsenal from the Mudryk deal and it won’t be a surprise if they overtake the Gunners and Liverpool in this transfer race as well.
