Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is interested in parting ways midfielder N’Golo Kante this ongoing transfer window and as per The Mirror, Manchester United might try and bring him on board.

The report claims: “Kante is seemingly out of favour at Chelsea as Frank Lampard is looking to take his squad in a new direction.

“At 29, the Frenchman is one of the older players in the Englishman’s new-look side, and Kante has been linked with the exit after an injury-hit 2019-20.

“United have tentatively been linked with Kante in the past, but could step up their interest in the midfielder if he is made available for a good price.

“Jadon Sancho remains United’s priority this summer, and the club will continue to pursue him until the window slams shut.

“But Kante would enable the Red Devils to strengthen in other areas, making them a more rounded team going into the new season.”

Will Man United sign N’Golo Kante?

N’Golo Kante has been one of the best players in the Chelsea squad ever since joining from Leicester City back in 2016. But during the 2019/20 season, his form has massively dipped, primarily due to his constant injury problems.

Also, he’s about to hit 30 next year and Chelsea rarely hold onto players who cross that particular age limit.

Man United have previously been linked with the World Cup winner and if he is really available in the transfer market then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will most definitely try and sign him up.

Kante might have seen a dip in form this past season having played in only 22 Premier League games but the Frenchman still remains one of the best defensive midfielders in world football.

Solskjaer is actively looking for a long-term replacement to Nemanja Matic and if he can get N’Golo Kante then Man United will finally be able to have a solid screen to their defensive line.
