Rangers FC midfielder Glen Kamara is wanted by Premier League sides Watford and Brentford FC and as per the sources, the Gers are ready to sell him for around £10 million.

Kamara was one of the standout players for Finland during the ongoing European Championship and according to his former teammate Tom Hateley, the midfielder is easily worth double than what the Glasgow outfit are demanding for him.

“It’s definitely the best £50k Rangers have ever spent,” Hateley told the Daily Record.

“And if you tried to sell Glen now, you’d get millions for him, the way the market is. For Rangers to snap him up for that amount of money was a brilliant piece of business. And he’s obviously kicked on since then.

“Rangers have a big decision to make on Glen after the Euros. But he’s at a great age and he’s someone I’d look to keep hold of.

“They’d need to go after someone who can cover the ground the way he does, shuffling out to the sides, the way their two midfielders have to in that system. He plays that role so well, as he showed last season. And clearly Gerrard rates him so highly now.

“The problem for Scottish clubs when they’re selling top players is how the game here is viewed by others.

“Clubs try to get players from Scotland on cut-price deals because they’re playing in the SPFL. But the fact Glen has now gone on to the Euros stage, played well and looked comfortable, means Rangers should be looking at around £20m for Glen at least.

“There are players in England who are hardly playing at their clubs but are commanding crazy fees.

“If I was a manager or director of football, I’d be looking at a consistent performer like Glen. And he’d be worth every penny of a £20m signing.”

Will Rangers charge £20 million for Glen Kamara?

The Rangers board has made it clear that they will need to sell some players to be able to balance their books. So, there’s a big chance Glen Kamara will be joining a Premier League side in the coming months.

Up until now, Watford were the only side wanting to sign the 25-year-old but now that Brentford have also joined the race plus he’s had a good EURO 2020, there’s a big chance the Gers will up their asking price.

But, there’s no way either of the two suitors will be ready to pay £20 million for him.

It’s very rare that an SPFL player is priced enormously in the transfer market and since Brentford and Watford have just been promoted to the Premier League, we doubt if they will be ready to spend so much money on a single player.

Overall, Glen Kamara should be moving out of Rangers before the new season kicks off and we are hoping the Ibrox outfit can squeeze a bit more than their original demands.
