Ruben Neves seems to have said his goodbye to the Wolves fans and as per SPORT, he is likely to join Barcelona in the coming months.

Premier League sides Manchester United and Arsenal have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old but it looks like Barcelona are about to steal him up from right under their noses.

Ruben Neves is managed by Jorge Mendes and the super-agent is the key to helping Barcelona secure a move. Mendes shares a great relationship with Barca and well as Wolves and he is currently the fulcrum of this deal.

Neves has been one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League since joining Wolves back in 2017. This season, he’s netted four and assisted two goals in 31 Premier League matches for the Molineux outfit.

Can Arsenal or Man United convince Ruben Neves to ditch Barcelona?

Manchester United are the club who have the most urgent need of a player like Ruben Neves but in all honestly, they are the least favourites in this whole arrangement.

We doubt if Neves will want to join a major rebuilding project at Manchester United, more so since they will not be playing in the Champions League next season.

There’s a possibility they might not even play in the UCL for the next couple of years and there’s no way the 25-year-old is going to wait that long.

If Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League they will stand a good chance to hold talks with Ruben Neves but we don’t think they can persuade him either.

Xavi wants Neves as the long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets and this kind of opportunity is really hard for any player to put down. Despite their financial troubles, Barcelona still have an allure about them so it will be very hard for Man United or Arsenal to convince Ruben Neves to remain in the Premier League.

Also, Wolves will be more than happy to sell him to a Spanish club rather than handing him over to a direct rival.
