Arsenal look all set to miss out on the signing of winger Ryan Fraser as Premier League rivals Crystal Palace have reportedly jumped the queue, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims: “Ryan Fraser has been offered a contract by Crystal Palace.

“Winger Fraser is a free agent after leaving Bournemouth when his contract expired on June 30.

“Fraser’s Bournemouth deal, signed back in February 2017 when he was just starting to make an impression at the top level, was initially worth £27,000-a-week.”

Will Ryan Fraser head to Crystal Palace?

The Gunners have been wanting to sign Ryan Fraser for some time now but with Palace entering the race, it looks like Arteta is going to miss out on the 26-year-old.

Signing a player like Fraser as a free agent would have been the ideal bit of transfer business for Arsenal this summer but if Aubameyang remains at the club then all Fraser would do is warm the benches at the club next season.

But at Palace, he has a better opportunity to get starts in the Premier League which is why the Eagles have a great chance of signing him up.

As per some reports, Crystal Palace have offered £55,000 a week in their offer but the Scottish international is looking to earn somewhere around £100,000 a week since he will be arriving as a free agent.

This is where Arsenal still have a chance of bringing him on board but we doubt if Mikel Arteta will be too eager to spend money on someone who will mostly play second fiddle to Aubameyang next season.
