Liverpool and Man United look all set to battle it out as Atletico Madrid are finally ready to part ways with midfielder Saul Niguez in the next few weeks.
As per The Mirror, Saul’s agent will fly down to England next week to try and secure an exit for the 26-year-old.
The report claims: “Spain midfield star Saul Niguez hopes to have his summer move to England sorted this week — with Manchester United and Liverpool in pole position for his signature.
“Representatives of the 26-year-old have been given the blessing of Atletico Madrid bigwigs to negotiate a move for their man.
“And they are due to jet into England tomorrow in a bid to strike a deal to bring him to the Premier League.”
Saul Niguez to join Man United or Liverpool?
Man United and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on Saul Niguez for a couple of months and this latest update will be a blessing to the ears of the two English clubs.
Man United are actively looking to bring in a new central midfielder to the club but we think it will be really hard for them to convince the Atletico man unless they are planning to sell Paul Pogba.
According to some rumours, Pogba might end up signing a new contract with Manchester United some time this year.

Ole already has players like Donny van de Beek, Pogba, Fred and McTominay in his first-team squad so there’s no way the manager can guarantee Saul Niguez regular playing time next season.
Liverpool, on the other hand, want to sign a long-term replacement for Gini Wijnaldum and Saul will be the ideal person to plug that hole in midfield.
Should the 26-year-old agree to join Liverpool then he can very easily become a regular feature alongside Jordan Henderson.
And we have a feeling that this one factor could be a major catalyst in helping the Spaniard make up his mind.
As per TransferMarkt, Saul Niguez is valued at £36 million and the rumours claim that a transfer fee of around £40 million should be enough to convince Atletico Madrid for a sale.
