Chelsea are trying to sign Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry as they are about to miss out on Raphinha, as per The Telegraph.
The Blues were really close to signing the Leeds winger but Barcelona have managed to stage a coup and agree on a deal with the Elland Road outfit. Chelsea have more or less given up hopes of signing Raphinha which is why they have shifted their focus to Gnabry.
The 26-year-old has been one of the top performers for Bayern Munich over the years but since his current deal expires next summer, the Germans are now looking to cash in on him.

Will he agree to join Arsenal’s London rivals?
Many people have come out to claim that Gnabry will not agree to join Chelsea due to his relationship with Arsenal but this is not the first time that a Gunner has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Also, Serge Gnabry spent three and a half seasons with Arsenal but his time at the Emirates Stadium was not particularly fruitful. He managed to play in only 18 games for the North London side during this time.
He left Arsenal way back in 2016 so there’s every possibility he will agree to join Chelsea – if the Blues are offering him a good enough deal.
Will Serge Gnabry be a gamble signing for Tuchel?
Serge Gnabry might have been a flop for Arsenal but since then, he’s completed revived his career. He’s been with Bayern Munich since 2018 and during this time, he has scored 64 goals in 171 games across all competitions.
Indeed, the recent Bundesliga imports to the Premier League have mostly been disappointments but Gnabry has previous experience of playing in the English top division.
Thomas Tuchel has signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and now if he can bring another top-class winger like Serge Gnabry on board then Chelsea’s attacking crisis will, by and large, be solved way before the new season kicks off.
