This Chelsea misfit could join a North London side in the summer: But which one?

Tammy Abraham, Azpiliceuta Chelsea Premier League

Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has no future at Stamford Bridge and there’s a big chance he could be playing for one of the North London clubs next season.

According to The Telegraph, Thomas Tuchel has put the forward up for sale and while his services have been offered to Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal have themselves registered an interest.

The Gunners are likely trying to bring in Tammy Abraham as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette and a lot of people think the England international can also replace Harry Kane, should the England captain move out this summer.

The 23-year-old was offered to Borussia Dortmund in a cash plus player deal for Erling Haaland but the Germans have rejected that offer so it’s more than likely that Abraham is going to play for a Premier League side next season.

Will Tammy Abraham join Spurs or Arsenal?

Spurs are yet to formally approach Chelsea for the signing of Tammy Abraham and according to Noel Whelan, the London-born lad could very well be the long-term replacement for Harry Kane.

Whelan told Football Insider: “Very surprised that Chelsea haven’t used him.

“They’ve got such a big squad there even top players like Tammy Abraham can’t push their way into the reckoning.

“That always sets up the alarm bells for other teams to test the water. You’re looking at a player that’s surplus to requirements at a massive football club. Tottenham need to replace Harry Kane at some point. They need to start building for the future.

“Maybe he would be a great fit as well for Tottenham, if they ever wanted to enter the race for Tammy. It’s not far for him to travel to either club, is it?

“He’s a player I’m sure has got admiration from many, many managers like Nuno and chairmen at football clubs. If the money’s right and the wages are right, he could enhance their squads.”

The new Spurs boss will undoubtedly look into the Chelsea forward but Daniel Levy will make a move for him only if he’s sure that he won’t be able to hold onto Harry Kane.

Arsenal will also try and make an official offer once they have found a buyer for Alexandre Lacazette so they can use that transfer money.

As far as Tammy Abraham is concerned, he will not be ready to warm the benches next season and if Harry Kane remains at Spurs, there’s no way he’s going to join the Lilywhites.

But, at Arsenal, Abraham still has a fair shot at the first-choice centre-forward’s spot since Lacazette has not been able to win Mikel Arteta’s trust.
