Chelsea take on Sheffield United in the FA Cup this weekend and this game will see the return of Tammy Abraham to the first-team squad.
Defender Thiago Silva is still out with his injury and he’s only going to be fit after the international break gets over. But Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Tammy Abraham has fully recovered from his ankle injury and has also trained with the group.
‘Now is not the moment to take the risk with Thiago,’ Tuchel told Chelseafc.com.
‘It is the last game before the international break and he wasn’t on the pitch today, but he is working hard and hopefully he can rejoin the group during the international break.
‘It’s already too long [for him to be out] but I know how hard he and the medical team is working, and we have zero complaints. We are taking our time with him because we want him to feel 100 per cent ready and 100 per cent free from the injury.
‘Tammy was with the group today and we hope he will be available for Sunday.

‘We had a scary moment when he stumbled and twisted his ankle but it seems not too serious. He was in a lot of pain at the time but he feels ok now and I hope he can be in the squad for Sunday.’
Tammy Abraham has been out for longer than expected but his return could not have come at a better time for Thomas Tuchel. The Chelsea boss was looking to rest some of his forward players this weekend and with the England international back in the fold, Timo Werner is going to sit on the bench on Sunday.
Olivier Giroud is also available for selection but we think the manager will opt to use Abraham as the main centre-forward against Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.
During the 2020-21 season, Tammy Abraham has played featured in 20 Premier League games for Chelsea, managing to net only six goals(all of them coming during the first half of the campaign).
