Man United will be too preoccupied with Lionel Messi at Old Trafford on Wednesday and this will let other Barcelona players shine during the Champions League clash.

Well, this is what most fans and pundits are banking on before this high-profile clash.

Lionel Messi is undoubtedly the biggest name in this match but Solskjaer has made it clear that his team will not be solely focused on the Argentine.

“Messi is a fantastic player and will go down in history as one of the best individual players ever,” said Solskjaer.

“He will be difficult to stop but it’s not like it’s Messi against Manchester United.

“There is Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal. There are so many good players. We can’t just focus on one player. We know we have to play against 11 of them.

“With the quality of the Barcelona team, we know we need to step up our game,

“We know we need to perform to our best levels, which we didn’t against PSG at home in the first leg. The outcome of the second leg against PSG has given the players and supporters belief that the same is possible against Barcelona.”

Well, Ole has made his intentions pretty clear but the big question is whether his players will be able to execute it on the pitch.

Almost everyone in world football knows not to leave Lionel Messi unmarked for too long.

And there’s aren’t many players around who can defend one on one against the Argentine and come out with flying colours.

Lionel Messi is that type of player who when has the ball at his feet automatically draws a couple of opponents towards him which in turn helps the other Barcelona players to move freely and find spaces around the back.
