Rangers FC vs Napoli

Rangers FC will head to Germany to take on RB Leipzig in the Europa League and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed that Fashion Sakala is very much part of the travelling squad.

The manager has revealed he has full faith in the 25-year-old forward and he’s most certainly part of his plans, especially since Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe are ruled out with injuries.

The manager told the press when asked about Sakala’s absence: “No, we are going with a big plane. A lot of player a lot of staff.

“No, he’s (Sakala) travelling. We have no fresh injuries, we have the squad available from Motherwell.

“Morelos and Roofe are not available and I have made my plans after watching the opponent playing.

“I will choose the right gameplan and we need the players to perform well.”

Will Rangers FC see a change in gameplan vs Leipzig?

Some reports have implied that the Gers boss does not have full faith in Sakala which is why he could be kept on the bench and GvB will ask one of his wingers to play out of position.

While this seems like a decent plan but with a player like Aaron Ramsey missing, if the Rangers boss was to play a winger up front then he could lose out on a lot of creativity.

He will need his playmakers to be able to produce good balls which is why the manager should stick with a simple 4-3-3 system. Fashion Sakala will lead the line with Aribo and Ryan Kent playing as the two wide players.

Also, the 25-year-old has netted seven goals in 27 league appearances this season so it’s not like he doesn’t know the route to goal.

The manager is likely to use three central midfielders to break up play and frustrate RB Leipzig in the middle of the pitch.
