Thiago Alcantara picked up a knock in the first half versus Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday and immediately, he was a doubt for the Champions League final.
The midfielder limped off just seconds before half-time and in the previous few days, Jurgen Klopp has been sweating over the fitness of the Spaniard.
Thankfully, he has returned to training on Wednesday and Klopp is now confident that Thiago will be fit to travel to Paris.
The manager told the press: “I only met him now inside… a good chance. So he will be training this afternoon.
“He did some stuff this morning, it was not planned that he was doing this session with the players. In the moment, it looks like he can be part of training tomorrow. That would be pretty helpful obviously and then we go from there.

“It’s surprisingly good. After the game [on Sunday] I was not really positive about it but we got news then that night already that it doesn’t look that bad and from there we went. Now we will see.
“I can imagine everybody thinks now, ‘Three days before a game, cannot train…’ But we just have to be sure we do the right stuff in the right moment and that’s what we try.”
Fabinho and Joe Gomez have also returned to full training on Wednesday and now that Thiago is also in line to be available, Liverpool will have a full-strength squad for Saturday’s encounter.
Thiago is the fulcrum for Liverpool’s midfield and he is usually the one who kick-starts the attacks for the Anfield outfit. Now that he will be fit, the duo of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric won’t get a free reign in the middle of the park. The former Bayern Munich man has played 1534 minutes in the Premier League this season and has an xG of 1.63 along with an xA of 2.58.
