Tomas Soucek has been a revelation for West Ham United this season and in a recent interview, Jamie O’Hara had hinted that Man United might come calling for the 26-year-old this summer.

Soucek joined the Premier League side from Slavia Prague last summer and in such a short span of time, the Czech international has turned himself into a constant figure under David Moyes. And since Man United have been having so many issues with their defensive midfield area, Solskjaer could try and replace someone like Fred with Tomas Soucek.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT, as per Inside Futbol: “He has been awesome. He has transformed West Ham and what a player he has been for them.

“A great signing that went under the radar, but his performances have been absolutely exceptional. He has turned into a proper top player in the Premier League and West Ham are lucky to have him, but I think they might struggle to keep hold of him.

“If you are Soucek and you are having the season you are and say someone like Man United come because Man United need a player like him. He would come into Manchester United’s team with his energy, his runs and he scores goals.

“It’s hard to keep hold of someone when big teams like that come in for you.”

This claim has come as a shock to many Hammers fans since if a team like Manchester United come calling then there’s very little the London side can do to hold onto Tomas Soucek.

Moyes could lose Declan Rice in the summer so it will be a double blow if Soucek also shows a desire to leave.

But West Ham United have tried to nip these rumours at its bud with first-team coach Stuart Pearce making it clear that Soucek is very happy with life at the club and he’s not heading for the exit at the end of this season.

Hammers coach Pearce told talkSPORT: “No, he’s happy here and he’s not going anywhere, that’s for sure. He’s been brilliant here, I’ve got to say. Dave brought him into the club in January of last and since then he’s just been brilliant.

“He’s got a wonderful attitude to work, on his days off he comes in to work, he’s just really an absolute pleasure to work with. As a man he is top quality. He and [Vladimir] Coufal the two Czech boys, they’ve both been brilliant.

“And Tomas can be a handful, too. England will face Czech Republic in the [Euro 2020] group stages and his ability in both boxes if very, very good.”

Soucek has completely transformed the Hammers midfield and so far he’s started in each and every Premier League game for the club. And these outstanding performances are sure to catch the eye of multiple top sides. So it will not be a total surprise if a team like Man United try and make a formal move to sign the 26-year-old in the coming months.
