Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal Man City

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have joined Arsenal and West Ham United in the race to sign Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been with Man City since 2016 but he’s mostly been used as a backup left-back player by manager Pep Guardiola. To date, he’s played 128 games across all competitions for the club.

Zinchenko is of no major use for Man City however, Guardiola is not too keen to cash in on him so all the three interested clubs will have to fight hard to convince Guardiola for a sale. At the same time, some reports have laid out contracting views, claiming that a fee of around £50-60m should be enough to trigger a sale.

Will Chelsea’s entry be a cause of concern for Arsenal and West Ham?

West Ham United’s name have been mentioned on the horizon but we doubt if they stand a chance to sign the left-back.

The Hammers have missed out on Europa League football which is why Moyes’ side are going to struggle to sign the big-name players this summer.

However, Arsenal will be really worried about Chelsea’s interest because Zinchenko is one of Mikel Arteta’s main transfer targets.

Zinchenko can also play as a midfielder and Arteta wants to use the Ukrainian in this exact same role at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are not close to signing Youri Tielemans, as earlier thought, so the Man City man can be the ideal alternative to Tielemans but if Chelsea are serious about signing him then the Gunners will have a proper fight on their hands.

Which move will Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer?

We doubt if Oleksandr Zinchenko will even consider joining West Ham United so the race will be between Arsenal and Chelsea.

Arsenal view him as a midfielder(the role he is used in his national team) while Thomas Tuchel wants him as a replacement for Marcos Alonso and Emerson.

Now, it totally depends on the player and which role he prefers to play in. If he wants to remain a left-back like he’s at Manchester City, then he will choose a move to Chelsea but if he wishes to be reunited with Mikel Arteta then he will want to join Arsenal.
