Wolves take on Chelsea in the English Premier League on Tuesday and they go into this match at the back of a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa during the weekend.

Santo’s side have not been in the best of forms having won just one out of their last five matches in the league and picking up three points against Chelsea will be yet another uphill battle for them.

The Wolves boss has a few absentees going into this crucial game meaning he will have very little chance to rotate his starting XI at the Molineux.

Wolves team news vs Chelsea:

Coady and Romain Saiss played in central defence vs Villa but the latter could make way for Willy Boly against Chelsea in midweek. Nelson Semedo and Marcal should keep their place as the two full-backs barring a late injury crisis.

Joao Moutinho picked up a 95th-minute red card during the weekend meaning he is unavailable and will be replaced by Ruben Neves in central midfield.

Daniel Pondence will keep his place in the starting XI as he is deployed in a more advanced role with Pedro Neto and Adama Traore playing out on the wings.

Raul Jimenez is still sidelined with a head injury and as of now, there is no possible return date for the 29-year-old forward.

Chelsea have won three of their last four games at Wolves and given the form that the home side are in right now, Frank Lampard will surely be looking to get back to winning ways after that slump vs Everton.

Wolves, on the other hand, have suffered three losses in their last five Premier League matches and right now they just cannot afford any more slip-ups.

Going into this game, the home side are 13th on the league and a win could help them move into the top half of the table.

Wolverhampton’s predicted XI vs Chelsea:

Predicted XI: Rui Patricio; Coady, Boly/Saiss, Marcal, Semedo; Ruben Neves, Dendoncker, Podence; Traore, Neto, Fabio Silva.
