Chelsea news Willian

Chelsea are currently 11th on the Premier League table having picked up just a single win so far and next up they take on Wolves away from home.

The Blues have made a really wobbly start to their new campaign under Frank Lampard as the former midfielder seems to be struggling to get the rhythm going.

On paper, this should be an easy three-pointer for the Blues since Wolves are yet to pick up a win this season but everyone knows this will not be the case since the home side have managed to pick up points vs big names such as Man United and Leicester City so far.

And playing at home, Santo’s side are a force to reckon with and with so many injuries to manage, there is a big possibility that Chelsea might collapse at the Molineux on Saturday.

Chelsea team news vs Wolves:

The biggest Chelsea team news is with the injuries to the Matteo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante.

Kante is currently recovering from an ankle sprain and recent reports claim the midfielder is close to making a comeback. Having said that though, the Wolves vs Chelsea game might come too early for him meaning Ross Barkley gets to start in midfield this weekend.

Matteo Kovacic has an Achilles injury but the summer signing should be fully fit in time and available for selection for the Wolves vs Chelsea clash.

Antonio Rudiger has made a full recovery from his injury and right now it is only a matter of match fitness for the defender. But we don’t think the manager will risk playing in an away game which means Zouma and Christensen will pair up in central defence vs Wolves.

Emerson picked up a knock while playing for his national side during the international break but the full-back has made it clear that he is fine and ready for selection when he reports back to Stamford Bridge.

Mason Mount has been the best player for Chelsea so far this season and the youngster will most obviously get a start at Molineux.

Pedro has also been in good form but we think the Spaniard will be rested for this match as Christian Pulisic plays down the right flank.

Tammy Abraham has settled in really nicely as the new centre-forward for Chelsea and the youngster should once again start meaning Olivier Giroud will only come on during the second half.
