Tottenham Hotspur suffered yet another loss in the Premier League, this time going down to Sheffield United. And as per Paul Merson, striker Harry Kane could try and move out of the club.

The pundit has claimed that Jose Mourinho’s style of management does not suit Harry Kane which is why Spurs should try and sign someone like Raul Jimenez, a player who has been on the transfer wishlist of fellow North London rivals Arsenal.

He wrote for the Daily Star: “Jose Mourinho is one of the world’s greatest managers but I stand by what I said about him and Harry Kane. Certain players suit certain managers and Kane doesn’t suit Mourinho.

“Kane is working off rations because of the way Mourinho likes his teams to play. I still think he might have to leave. Spurs should be in the Champions League. They reached the final last season. For the last few years, I’ve had them down as title contenders.

“Didier Drogba was perfect for Mourinho. You could get it up to him and he’d hold it. He would bully people. Be a focal point.

“Kane just wants to score goals. That’s all I was saying. He wants to win the Golden Boot. But Mourinho teams don’t make a shedload of chances.

“Someone like Raul Jimenez at Wolves suits Spurs right now more than Kane. That’s the kind of striker Mourinho likes.”

If Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League next season then there’s every chance that Harry Kane will look to head for greener pastures. And if the Lilywhites want to sign Wolves’ Raul Jimenez as a replacement then it’s bad news for Arsenal.

We’re unlucky to find ourselves a goal behind at the break at Bramall Lane.
