Liverpool misfit Ben Davies is being eyed by a few big British clubs but it looks like the centre-back has no intention of leaving Anfield this summer, as per the Daily Mirror’s David Anderson.

On Friday there were reports that Scottish side Celtic FC have reignited their interest in the 25-year-old and are now willing to fight AFC Bournemouth for his signature.

The Daily Mail report claims: “Celtic are back in the hunt for unsettled Liverpool central defender Ben Davies.

“The Parkhead club were close to securing a £2million deal with the former Preston North End star in January before being gazumped by a shock late move by Jurgen Klopp.

“While Liverpool would rather sell for a hefty profit, Celtic are now in competition with a posse of English clubs – including Championship outfit Bournemouth – to tie up a season-long loan deal.”

But as per David Anderson, Jurgen Klopp is not too keen to let Ben Davies leave during the ongoing transfer window which seems to have urged the defender to stay and fight for his place in the side.

Anderson wrote on Twitter: “Ben Davies will reject fresh interest from Celtic and Bournemouth to stay at Liverpool.

“He wants to try again this season to make an impact at Anfield and is encouraged by the fact Jurgen Klopp wants him to remain.”
