{"id":68230,"date":"2023-02-06T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefootballfanbase.com\/?p=68230"},"modified":"2023-02-06T18:55:52","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T18:55:52","slug":"next-chelsea-manager-who-is-going-to-replace-graham-potter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefootballfanbase.com\/next-chelsea-manager-who-is-going-to-replace-graham-potter\/","title":{"rendered":"Chelsea are planning to sack Graham Potter but who is going to replace him?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Chelsea manager Graham Potter has found it really hard to settle down at Stamford Bridge and just a few months into his new job and already there are rumours of him being shown the door, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fichajes.net\/noticias\/club-premier-league-quiere-luis-enrique-banquillo-20230205.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fichajes.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former Brighton boss joined the Blues back in September but under his reign, Chelsea have been on a continuous downward spiral. So far, he&#8217;s managed 29 games across all competitions and the London side have managed to win only 14 out of those.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Chelsea are ninth on the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefootballfanbase.com\/category\/england\/premier-league-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Premier League<\/a> table and despite making so many January signings they have managed to win just one out of their previous five league games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pressure is mounting on Potter and as per the latest updates, Chelsea are keeping tabs on former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique to be their next boss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udd35Chelsea are open to hiring Luis Enrique if they choose to replace current head coach Graham Potter. <br><br>( Fichajes) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LQ5WcDam6T\">pic.twitter.com\/LQ5WcDam6T<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Never A Foul \u26bd\ufe0f (@NeverAFoul) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NeverAFoul\/status\/1622537243750531296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 6, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enrique has been out of a job since the 2022 World Cup and his last club assignment was back in 2017 when he was the manager at Barcelona. However, the Spaniard is still one of the top managers in Europe and if Potter cannot pull up his socks then Luis Enrique could be the next Chelsea manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todd Boehly has spent a lot of money to bring in new signings at the club so the last thing he will want is an incompetent manager at the helm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A club like Chelsea need to play in the Champions League but the way they are moving right now, the UCL seems like a far-fetched dream for them.
