West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini shows absolutely no signs of slowing down as the London outfit have been linked with yet another players.

Last week reports had suggested that West Ham are in the hunt for Porto winger Yacine Brahimi.

But now it seems that the move for the 28-year-old winger has taken an unexpected turn.

Born and brought up in Paris, Yacine Brahimi spent most to his playing career in France until joining Porto in 2014 for a fee of €6.5 million after putting up a fine display for Algeria in the World Cup.

And now that Yacine Brahimi had the chance of taking the next big step by moving to the Premier League, he had rejected West Ham’s interest by citing a rather bizarre reason.

According to Brahimi, if he were to sign a long-term contract with the Hammers now then it might prevent him from joining a big club in the future.

Yacine Brahimi played 33 games last season in the Primeira Liga scoring 9 goals and providing 7 assists which clearly shows that he was important for Porto during the 2017-18 season.

But the Hammers fans though are not too concerned over the fact that they have missed out on the winger as they know that Pellegrini has enough back-up in that area.

Instead of going after attackers the fans have urged the management to sign a decent defensive midfielder before the new Premier League season kicks off next weekend.
