Manchester United have managed to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League after beating Young Boys 1-0 at home on Tuesday.

The Red Devils looked lacklustre once again at home as their found it nearly impossible to break down the Young Boys defence and it seems Jose Mourinho’s men were in for a disappointing night once again.

Man United took the initiative from the very first minute but all that urgency fizzled out when they reach the penalty box of their opponents.

And just when it looked as if United’s faith would be decided in the final group game that is when Marouane Fellaini stepped up and scored the only goal of the game in injury time.

The Belgian started the match ahead of Paul Pogba in midfield which raised a lot of questions about Jose Mourinho’s tactics for the game.

But the midfielder proved once again that he can be an asset for the team whenever called upon.

Marouane Fellaini had a very good game overall as he helped out both in attack as well as in defence but the big man did not have a particularly good start to the game.

New footage has revealed that Marouane Fellaini lost track of his mascot when the teams were coming out of the tunnel at the start of the match.

But what happened after that was even more baffling as Marouane Fellaini decided to pinch Jesse Lingard’s mascot as the teams made it to the pitch.

Usually, the midfielder would be trolled heavily after such an incident but the United fans chose to stick beside their goalscorer – more so after he helped Jose Mourinho’s team reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Both Manchester United and Juventus have qualified to the next round of the Champions League in Group H and the final match of the groups will now decide the positions in which the said teams will move to the knockout stages.
