According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal have agreed on personal terms with midfielder Youri Tielemans but they are in no hurry to wrap up the transfer.
The Leicester City man has been tipped to leave this summer and for a long time, the Gunners have been the favourites to sign him up. However, some recent rumours had hinted that the North London side are not happy with the sluggish pace at which the transfer is moving which is why they might be preparing to withdraw their interest.
Ben Jacobs has now come out to clear the air, stating that Arsenal are in no hurry whatsoever as they are reluctant to overspend on Youri Tielemans.
The CBS Sport journalist has claimed: “It’s incorrect to say anything other than that Arsenal have advanced things with Tielemans in the last seven days. The feeling was that Arsenal would swoop in after the international break and get it done.
“Instead, they progressed things with Vieira, but Tielemans is still on their radar.
“Arsenal have put in a heck of a lot of work on this deal, dating back a year, they’ve agreed terms with the player, but at no point have they tabled an offer with Leicester City. Arsenal always felt they wanted to pay £25m all in, but Leicester want closer to £30m, £31m or £32m.”

Will Arsenal finally be able to sign Youri Tielemans?
Leicester City and Arsenal are not too far apart in their valuations so we expect one of these two sides to budge really soon.
£5 million is nothing for a club like Arsenal so, in the end, the Gunners might be the ones who give up and raise their valuation. Yes, Leicester City have an urgency to sell off the midfielder but Arsenal are badly in need of a new central midfielder.
As far as wrapping up the transfer is concerned, not a lot of clubs are interested in signing Youri Tielemans which is why Arsenal are in no hurry whatsoever. Instead, they are focusing on players like Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha who are wanted by several other Premier League rivals.
The Gunners are on the verge of signing Gabriel Jesus from Man City plus they are also actively chasing Raphinha and once these deals are done, only then will Mikel Arteta shift his focus to Youri Tielemans.
