Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is very much interested in joining Arsenal and as per journalist Ben Jacobs, a move can still happen but they need to be wary of Liverpool.

The Belgian international has been constantly linked with the Gunners this summer and with the window shutting down next week, everyone thought Arsenal have pulled the plug on this deal.

However, Jacobs is claiming that Leicester City are bracing themselves for another offer as Arsenal could make one final attempt to sign him.

He wrote on Twitter: “Brendan Rodgers knows that Tielemans is still seeking a move to a bigger club, so he was trying to protect his team by leaving him out. It didn’t really work out, but I am told he could still leave this week if the offer from Arsenal finally lands.”

Arsenal are taking their own sweet time to sign Tielemans but things could change after Liverpool’s loss to Manchester United on Monday.

He added: “Arsenal better hurry if they want Youri Tielemans. Wouldn’t remotely surprise me if Liverpool change their stance and consider a late-window bid.

“Tielemans still wants Arsenal and a move remains very possible. LCFC braced for offers.”

Will Youri Tielemans end up joining Arsenal before deadline day?

Tielemans has one more year left on his current deal and even though he is keen to join Arsenal, an interest from Liverpool can very well change his mind.

Liverpool’s loss to Manchester United has forced Jurgen Klopp to rethink his transfer strategy and there’s a big chance the club could go back into the market to sign some emergency reinforcements.

One of these players could be a central midfielder and since Tielemans is available at a bargain deal, the Anfield outfit could very well make a move for him. Thiago will be out of action until September so Klopp badly need a holding central midfielder who can play alongside Fabinho.

Arsenal are currently prioritising the signing of Wovles’ Pedro Neto and hence it will be interesting to see if they are willing to go into a transfer battle with Liverpool for Youri Tielemans.

The Gunners do need an upgrade to Granit Xhaka but some experts think Mikel Arteta needs an attacker even more plus he’s not interested in spending £30-35 million on a player who is going to be a free agent next summer.
