Youri Tielemans has been one of the standout players for Leicester City this past season but if Rodgers is not careful then the midfielder could be playing for a new club next campaign.

Liverpool have long registered an interest in the 24-year-old and with Wijnaldum leaving, Klopp is reportedly keen to make a move for Tielemans pretty soon. But if the latest updates are anything to go by then the Liverpool boss might have to rethink his strategy since Manchester United have also shown an inclination towards signing the midfielder.

According to Belgian journalist Sven Claes, Man United and one other Spanish side are keeping tabs on Youri Tielemans as the Belgian international is looking to make one of the biggest decisions of his professional career.

“It will be a very difficult decision for Tielemans. The tears speak for themselves after receiving the POTY award two weeks ago,” the reporter told EOTK Insider.

“When he’ll play a good Euros I expect him to be leaving yes. He’s ready for a new challenge/next step – and I also believe that.

“It’s an absolute talent with an excellent mentality on and off the pitch. A lot of clubs like Man Utd and a Spanish top team already want him.

“He had it difficult in the past at AS Monaco, but at Leicester everyone saw his real qualities again. I think we’ll hear soon more about his near future.”

Where will Youri Tielemans be playing next season?

Youri Tielemans has played in every Premier League game for Leicester City in the 2020-21 season and this alone goes on to show how important he is to Brendan Rodgers’ plans.

The midfielder so far has shown no signs of discontent but with clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United keen to sign him, his head could turn in the blink of an eye.

He has two more years left on his current deal so Leicester City cannot afford to take it easy either which is why we feel if a club like Manchester United or Liverpool can make a good enough bid then the Foxes will let him leave.

At both these clubs, Youri Tielemans should be a guaranteed starter and he will also get to ply his trade in the Champions League next season which is an added bonus.

The 24-year-old is currently valued at £49.5 million as per TransferMarkt and there are rumours that Leicester City will demand around £55 million for his sale. Both Liverpool and Man United have qualified for the Champions League next season so we hope this kind of a transfer fee should not be a problem for either of the two clubs.

As far as Liverpool are concerned, after having a really poor season, they are pretty much level with Manchester United on all grounds so the only way they can lure in Youri Tielemans away from Solskjaer’s grasps is by outbidding their arch-rivals.
