Clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have long been linked with Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and now as per CalcioMercato, Tottenham Hotspur have also joined the bandwagon.

The midfielder is set to become a free agent in 2023 and it’s almost certain that he is not going to sign a new deal. His manager had also admitted recently that the club are open to letting their star players move out should they demand an exit.

“We are real as a football club. You’ll get people asking if we can hang on to these players for the next six or seven years,” Rodgers told Sky Sports, as quoted.

“But the reality is that if a player does really well at Leicester, he may want to leave and move on to another club. For us, it’s just about being ready for that.”

Will Spurs go all out to sign Youri Tielemans?

Spurs have massively pulled up their performances in recent weeks and right now, they are the favourites to secure the final Champions League spot. This will be a great achievement given how poor their transfer business has been this season but Antonio Conte will certainly not settle for this languid philosophy next campaign as well.

Conte is going to bring in reinforcements during the summer window and midfield is one of the areas of concern. The likes of Skipp and Harry Winks are not favourites of the manager so a move for Youri Tielemans seems very practical.

Tielemans is one of the better defensive midfielders in the Premier League right now and since he will be available for cheap, Spurs should and could give this transfer a proper go.

Which teams are the favourites to sign the Leicester City midfielder?

With so many teams interested in him, Youri Tielemans will be spoilt for choices but we think he will want to join a side where he can get consistent game time.

Obviously, he will want to play in the Champions League but he is not likely to join a team like Liverpool where they already have players such as Fabinho and Henderson.

He would much rather spend one or two years in the Europa League and play 40 plus games in one season rather than warm the benches. Trophies will also be a part of his ambition but he’s only 24 meaning he still has a lot of time to win silverwares.

Man United, Arsenal and Spurs are the ones who are in need of a defensive midfielder like him but they will have to finish as high as possible in order to convince Youri Tielemans about their long-term plans. All these sides are pretty evenly matched in terms of performances so whoever grabs that fourth spot on the table might get a massive boost.
