According to ESPN, Antonio Conte’s Spurs is keen to sign midfielder Youri Tielemans who also happens to be a target for their North London rivals Arsenal.
According to Fabrizio Romano and Sunday Telegraphs’ John Percy, Arsenal are presently the favourites to sign the Leicester City midfielder and they are about to launch a £25 million bid for the 25-year-old.
Tielemans is not going to sign a new deal with Leicester and he is even ready to play in the Europa League in order to secure an exit which means Arsenal have every chance to bring him on board. However, with Spurs coming into this transfer race, the Gunners can very promptly fall down the pecking order.
The midfielder has played in 32 Premier League games this season, scoring six and assisting four goals and his current deal with the club expires in the summer of 2023.
🚨 Youri Tielemans is now open to playing in the Europa league and Arsenal are set to make an opening offer of around £25m.
Leicester may demand a price of over £30m but his Foxes contract runs out in 2023.

Which North London club should Youri Tielemans choose?
Leicester City have given up hope of holding onto the midfielder and as per the rumours, the Foxes will sell him if a club is ready to pay £30 million for him.
Their asking price is not very far off from what Arsenal are opening their bidding with but if Spurs put their foot on the peddle then Arsenal will have a very tough time.
Up until now, Arsenal were the biggest club that wanted to sign him which is probably why Youri Tielemans is ready to play in the Europa League. However, his dreams will pick up speed very rapidly because, at Tottenham, he will be able to play in the Champions League.
If he wants to rub shoulders against the big boys of Europe then a move to Spurs will make complete sense.
On the other hand, at Tottenham, Youri Tielemans will have to fight for his place because Hojbjerg and Bentancur have been top-class in the previous season. At Arsenal, it will be much easier for him to get into the starting lineup because Arteta is looking for an upgrade to Granit Xhaka.
Ultimately, Leicester City don’t have much of a say in this so it’s up to the midfielder where he wants to head next season.
Does he want to play in Europe’s top-tier or does he wish to evade any competition and become an undisputed first-choice defensive midfielder?
