Youri Tielemans has been tipped to leave Leicester City and as many as five top European sides are interested in signing him.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, teams like Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are keen to land the 24-year-old while La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked with him.

Tielemans’s current deal with the Foxes expires in 2023 but it looks like the club are already preparing for life without him. In a recent interview, Brendan Rodgers had admitted that he will fully understand if the midfielder wishes to move out.

Rodgers had recently said, via Daily Mail: “Youri is at an age and at a stage in his contract where he has to ensure he looks at every option. I would love it to be here at Leicester, that is natural, but I understand it’s a very short career.”

Will Youri Tielemans secure an exit during the January window?

The 24-year-old is currently valued at £49.5 million and if either of the interested clubs are ready to pay the required amount then Leicester will likely part ways with him.

And with so many clubs wanting to sign, there’s every chance that Youri Tielemans wishes to move out in the coming days itself, rather than waiting until the end of the season.

Liverpool are still trying to bring in a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum and someone like Tielemans will be the perfect alternative for the Netherlands international. But it remains to be seen if the Liverpool owners are ready to splash so much money during the middle of the season.

Man City are someone who have the ability to spend such amounts this month but with the likes of Rodri and Gundogan performing so well, there are doubts if Guardiola will want to make a move for Tielemans in the coming days.

Arsenal can certainly do with a player like Youri Tielemans but without European football to offer, the Gunners are fighting a major uphill battle, in terms of, signing the Belgian international. They are not in Europe this season and there’s no guarantee they will be in the top-four at the end of this season either.

As far as Real Madrid and Barcelona are concerned, several big-name Premier League players have faded away after moving to Spain in recent years so Youri Tielemans will much likely want to remain in England for the next spell of his career.
