Striker Alvaro Morata has urged his former Real Madrid teammate Marco Asensio to join him at Chelsea – according to reports.

Antonio Conte has secured the signing of Ross Barkley from Everton this month and if reports are to believed then the Blues are planning to bring in two more signing by the end of the winter transfer window.

AS Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri is one player who is scheduled to join the Stamford Bridge outfit within the next couple of days while his current teammate Edin Dzeko remains another possibility.

As per a report in Diario Gol, Morata has asked Asensio to leave Real Madrid and join the West London club.

Chelsea’s summer signing has been in constant contact with Marco Asensio and has let the player know that Chelsea are out in the market looking to buy a couple of players.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho too has shown interest in the Los Blancos player and is expected to launch a summer bid for him.

But we feel that Zinedine Zidane won’t let Asensio leave this month simply because Real Madrid want to bring Eden Hazard to Spain next season and the club are planning to use Marco Asensio as a counterweight for that particular deal.
